Mounting the vLink

Many people are surprised at how easy it is to mount the vLink racing computer. We’ve made a short video showing the process so you can see what is involved.

While the 5-minute mounting process is very simple, there are a few important things to remember:

• The ski’s top surface must be flat where the mount is attached, both side-to-side and front-to-back. Minor top sheet texture (e.g., Nordica racing skis, Atomic wood core World Cup skis, wood core Fisher World Cup skis) doesn’t cause adhesive problems.

• It is possible to attach the vLink mount to skis that are not flat (e.g. Atomics with a beta profile), but the mounts must be screwed on.

• Make sure the mounts go on the correct ski (there is a left mount and a right mount) and that they are oriented with the arrow facing toward the front of the ski.

• The ski must be clean before installing the mounts (an alcohol swab is most effective for removing oils that cause adhesion problems). It takes 800 lbs of force to pull a mount off of a correctly prepared ski, but very little to pull one off of a ski that has oil or wax on the surface.

•The vLink mount adhesive must not be reused.
